Carol Clover writes of horror films and the final girl theory is a concept within thriller and horror. the theory is that within most horrors the common plot line is that a series of victims are killed during the film which than leads to the final intended victim commonly a girl killing the killer or being killed at the very end. There are many examples of horror films that use this theory including: ' Texas Chainsaw Massacre', 'Friday the 13th" and Halloween. The final girl is normally very attractive and normally not sexually active, either being virgin or very hard to get. The final girl normally creates a connection with the audience which than helps them to relate with the character.
