Preliminary
This video above shows our bad preliminary task as we didn't use the 180 degree rule which meant that if we were having a conversation you had to be on the same side, which meant this was breaking the continuity rule. Continuity errors meant we were doing the 180 degree rule wrong because there were many continuity errors. When we come to do our real filming for or OTS we will want to make the filming more continuous so that the clips look more smooth and go together better.
Our task
We had a task to go out and film a good preliminary video and a bad one so that we could show the 180 degree rule. We used this rule so that we can use this in our real horror video, this will make it look more professional and it wont break the continuity. The 180 degree rule is to show continuity and it is when you are filming but on one side of both characters.
The 180 degree rule
The 180 degree rule shows continuity and makes the scenes look more smooth when filming. When filming with the 180 degree rule you have to stay on the same side for both characters this is called continuity. A good example of this is just like the video above, two people having a conversation and the person who is filming is on the same side for both characters.
