The ring
At the start of 'the ring's opening title sequence there is a young female who is pretty and this would attract male attention and audience to the film. At the beginning of this film the female is scared because the TV is flickering on and off repeatedly and it brings tension to the scene which impacts on the audiences and also this is part of the story that the friend tells because after she tells the story, the mysterious activities start happening. Once she confirms its not her then she gets scared and concerned.
During this shot in the scene you would expect something to happen because it is almost like a neutral view but low angle slightly. The young female is looking at something which you cant see but the camera starts zooming in on her which is a tracking shot. This scene makes things tense and makes the audience feel like something is going to jump out.

Scream
Scream is a classic and quite an old horror film which was released in 1996 and the women at the beginning is called Drew who is casey. Drew is a female with short blonde hair and this would attract a male audience because some males might like blonde females. As Drew is at the beginning of the film in the kitchen she is the sight of activity. The women being in the kitchen is an old fashioned stereotype which females should be in the kitchen making food. Throughout the film the use of the victim being female is also a stereotype to a female being the first to die in a horror film.
The women in black
The beginning of the women in black begins with almost a eyeline match as its the kids toys and it goes from the kids toys to the kids and it shows that they are playing with it. Secondly it has three young girls who are very well dressed but there is a nursery tune in the background but the way that the three young girls act it doesn't make the music sound like a nursery song.
The three young girls walk towards the window and as they get closer to jumping out of the window the sound gets louder and louder until they reach their death. In this scene its all bright coloured so you can see everything clearly but because the way the young girls are dressed its stereotypically old fashioned.

Saw
Saws opening title sequence consists of short clips of different objects including locks, clocks and a television screen to move on to each clip they have used a broken camera effect which than also shows the titles. Saw have chosen to have the bare minimum of titles so that the audience don't get bored. After watching the film, when looking back on this sequence you would realise that the flashing images in this title sequence all had something to do with the main idea of the film.
